Apparently if you look close enough there's supposed to be a boot image on the moon signifying the moon landing. A great watch with an awesome history and legacy. The bezel is ceramic and it's filled with something Omega calls Liquidmetal in order to increase the strength of the bezel.
Shortly after, I started perusing Chrono24 and found the Speedmaster Moonphase. I loved the white dial and the Moonphase/Date complication so I went for it. Once it arrived, I quickly realized I didn’t like the older bracelet and swapped it for the newer one. Taking the spirit of exploration a step further, this new Moonphase features two infinitely small yet photo-realistic moons. This 44.25 mm model features a blue sun-brushed dial, with rhodium-plated indexes.
The reset problem should be a simple fix and, as teeritz noted, it's probably time to be serviced. I'd be willing to bet that the quote from Omega is for that service.
