The spring is super easy to replace like a 15-20 dollar part I believe. You just have to get the pin holding the contraption out and then there is a base plate and a spring you unload. Snap in the new one and reinstall. I have been trying to find "how to" guides for spring replacement but all those I see on YouTube involve pushing a pin out on the clasp. Mine has no pin. I don't see how I would access the spring to replace it.
I found straps and deployant clasps to be much cheaper at the boutique. Plus when you buy from the boutique they always throw in a a treat. Last time I bought a rubber strap and deployant clasp from them the gave me an orange Seamaster style loupe. Boutique service is always excellent too. I have an Omega Seamaster Coaxial - off late the clasp does not close as both the side buttons are depressed inside. Possible cause is that the inside spring is broken. Called the boutique and they said they only sell the complete clasp.Omega Complete Service Available.
